Children's Workbook Review
I purchased a class set of these workbooks for my four-year-olds at a two day a week preschool. It has worked great. It is very easy for the children to listen to and follow the directions. I really like that there is a place at the top of every page for the name to be written. Great practice for my kids. I like the variety of topics covered. The alphabet is all upper case, and I really like the way it gives numbers and arrows for writing them.

Great for pre-schoolers!
I purchased this for my 4 year old daughter so she wouldn't feel left out while her big sister is at school. Very nicely done and it seems that it will brush up on everything that we need to prepare for Kindy next year. Can't wait to buy more books that belong to the collection.

One of the Better Ones
Overall, I am disappointed with the Brighter child series, compared to workbooks like Kumon and School Zone.

It did cover a lot of areas like sizes, shapes, matching, differences, and handwriting, the number exercises were kind of blah. Also, there was only one page for ordinal numbers, and that was more difficult for my son than counting.

We did like the beginning sound memory game at the end of the workbook.

I'd like to see the Brighter child series spend less effort on Kindergarten readiness lists, and put more into the actual activities.

I definitely found Spectrum Basic Concepts, Preschool (Little Critter Workbooks) to be a better choice.
