Included with the purchase of the book, at no extra cost, is a 2-year single-user access to the web-version of the book. This web-version is updated with about 80 new entries per month. Its search engine will allow searches for abbreviations or a word found in the meaning of abbreviations.

Every edition it gets bigger and better
This is my third updated edition of this book. It is incredibly helpful when trying to decipher medical abbreviations. It has tripled in size in the 10 years I have been referencing it. The editors have tried to keep up with all the changes in the medical field and they have done an admirable job. A must have for any medical/nursing student and anyone else remotely related to heath care.
