Fun and Beautifully Illustrated
I am a fan of Mike Wohnoutka's book illustrations and this one does not disappoint. I love the vivid colors and I felt that he and writer Connie Van Hoven really captured the essence and fun of Minnesota with the references to some of it's history and uniqueness. The cool, blue colors felt like home to me. You know that feeling of night time when you take in a deep breath and drink in that cool, up north air? Can't explain it but sure felt it it when I read this book.
Love this book!
What a great book! It is fun to sing it and then to go back and read the history. Great book for children and adults.

Well written and beautiful illustrations of typical Minnesota in winter. Gave to friend and she just cried with memories of home. FDM
