Customer Reviews
EVERYONE should have this book!
This is a fabulous book about tolerance, world peace and how a child's innocence and natural ability to love unconditionally can change a world.
I wish that every school in the world had a copy of this book and every parent bought it and read it to their child and to themselves.
It's not preachy, it is not pushy. It is a fun read and a lovely story.
It's the perfect gift for anyone. A GREAT education and coversation starting tool for teachers!!
Hooray Janet!! And way to go Priscilla!
Why indeed!
I think I just may have to dye my hair purple...
Why?
Why? I first read this book at the prompting of a close friend. At a funeral of a mutual colleague, a great man and leader, she had met Janet. She explained Janet's background working for hospice and writing children's books. She said, "you will simply love her new book", and insisted I read it out loud while we were having coffee at the book store. After reading it I went and bought two.
There was a book signing and party to launch the book that night and I took my youngest son. Meeting Janet Mary Sinke and Craig Pennington, the illustrater, made the book so much more endearing to me. They were both incredibly gracious people with a great following of friends and family.
This book quickly became our favorite and we read it at least once a week. I love Priscilla because of her open heart, and hope the same open heart beats inside me. Most people love books because they can see a part of themselves in the book, or relate to the feelings in the book. It would be my hope that all people would be able to relate to the message this book sends.
Cheers to you Janet Mary Sinke and Craig Pennington. Thanks for sharing Priscilla with us. I think I shall dye my hair purple too.
