About the Author
Elizabeth Verdick is a children’s book writer and editor. She is the coauthor of HOW TO TAKE THE GRRRR OUT OF ANGER, STRESS CAN REALLY GET ON YOUR NERVES!, TRUE OR FALSE? TESTS STINK!, and MAKING EVERY DAY COUNT. She lives in Minnesota with her husband and their two children. Marieka Heinlen is also the illustrator of the TEETH ARE NOT FOR BITING and WORDS ARE NOT FOR HURTING board books, as well as the award-winning HANDS ARE NOT FOR HITTING books for toddlers and preschoolers. daycare kids love it!
the kids love this book and it is very helpful to remind them. I find myself quoting it and the kids never tire of it and seems to sink in to them. highly recomend all of this series.

Little words with a huge impact!
I recently purchased two copies of this book for children in our family. The illustrations are bright and cheerful, drawing your child's attention to the simple but powerful message of the book. Every book in the Best Behavior Series is excellent!

You'll never regret purchasing Words Are Not for Hurting -- it's absolutely fabulous.

Great book!
I bought most of the books in the series and my 2.5 year old really enjoys them. He definitely learns from them and applies the lessons. Great book to teach toddlers manners.
