...what a wonderful portrait
of how Christmas should be. --Magpies Magazine

Reading It's Christmas is a great way to get young children motivated to take part in making the magic that is Christmas. Each page pictures an activity you and your child can do together, from baking cookies to decorating the Christmas tree. For such a simple toddler's picture book, the ideas and excitement that come from it are endless. --Suite 101

This new Australian Christmas release is a gem. Tina Burke has created an enchanting and humorous tale... --Sydney's Child Magazine

From the Publisher
From the unique talent of Tina Burke comes a delightful tale about the joy - and the waiting - that surrounds Christmas.

From the Author
"This book was written and illustrated while I was thinking how exciting the lead up to Christmas is...making decorations, trimming the tree, creating the perfect gift, preparing for Christmas concerts...and finally, on Christmas Eve, putting out a snack for Santa, and hanging up the stockings!"

Review from www.firrkids.com5
This is the perfect holiday book for excited kids! Simple text accompanies the sweetest illustrations of children preparing for Christmas.

The author does a great job of including all the traditional activities that we typically associate with this time of the year. Baking cookies? Check. Visiting Santa? Check. Decorating the tree, wrapping gifts, hanging stockings and that final loooong wait on Christmas Eve are all depicted here with adorable drawings.

I love building a wonderful collection of holiday books that endure the test of time. All the memories of Christmases past come rushing back each year when we pull out our stash. This is a lovely addition to that collection.

Waiting for Santa5
It's Christmas by Tina Burke
Oh the magic of Christmas traditions. The story is simple and each page illustrates a preparation for the holidays. For example, the text "There are things to do...." is accompanied by an illustration of a boy making Christmas cookies and "...and people to see" shows a girl on Santa's lap. Other activities are singing Carols, decorating, making presents, and waiting for Santa. Karen Woodworth-Roman, www.librarians.info
