The focus for Punany: The Hip Hop Psalms was to use the same graphic approach to sexuality, popularized by NWA (Niggaz With Attitudes) but to use the taboo genre to promote AIDS Awareness. And where rap is often misogynistic, Punany is celebrating the female body.

The Punany Poets, as Holter s performance troupe has come to be known first appeared to the world in an HBO segment, which began airing March of 2000 and continues to air on Real Sex segments 24 & 26, HBO On Demand, and has been syndicated on Cinemax and cut into The Best of Real Sex documentary.

Good but..Not What I Thought....
This was great for what it was. I just expected the book to be thicker. This was a pamphlet for the coffee table.
