I think these books help Americans understand that people from Afganistan are NOT all terrorists and are just people trying to get by and have a happy life. These books made me investigate and read more about this country and understand their history better and what they went through. Of course I will never truly understand but I am coming a long way

Harry gets himself into some real trouble in Grave Peril. This addition to the Dresden files is a much darker episode with a lot of friends and foes, new and old. Entertaining as these books are, this time the story was a little confusing. With so much going on it got difficult to keep track of one story line. But this does set up a number of story points for the later Dresden novels.

This was a good read from Koontz but not his best. The story was pretty simple and the situation seemed to solve itself pretty quickly at the end. The best part of the book was the dialog between the main characters.

Max finally saves the word. Kinda. This closes out the Maximum ride series well enough. A fast read but not a good as the first two. The only frustration I has was that they put in some revalations that turned out to be un-true and did not add to the story.

Rollins continues the story of the Sigma Force with The Judas Strain. This time it is an ever morphing virus that turns peoples natural bacteria against them. Again we are hopping the globe with a number of story lines to fine a cure. As usual there are lots of cool action sequences and interesting science/history. Fun read.

What a great little series. A simple fantasy adventure geared toward childeren (still fun for adults). My only complaint is that this is such a rich and complex mythology the authors should have done more with it.

Alvin comes of age an tires to understand who and what he is. Learns valuble lessons as he matures. Good addition the the Avin Maker series and contiues the story without to much plot.

Picks up years after the events in "The Descent". Things move along well for a while but near the end we get a little strange and hard to follow. This was an ok read, a little faster than the descent but not as epic.

Epic story told in the form of a non-fiction book recounting the events of the Zombie war. The book is just essentially a series of interviews from people who survived. As each experience is recounted, the overall picture of horror, survival, and triumph come together.

The longest book in the series is just as good as the others but could have been shorter. Some parts did seem very drawn out and it took forever to really get into the main plot. There was a lot, and I mean a LOT, of Harry's day to day life.

Alvin continues his quest. this one starts off pretty slow, mostly focusing on Alvins brother. About halfway through it picks up and the plot starts to take form. It all turns out to be a court room drama. Which actually was pretty fun to read. The Journeyman did very little Journeying though.

Another chapter in Harry Dresden's life. A little confusing at first but the end was fantastic.

This was amazingly helpful and very straight forward. Every man in a relationship with a woman should read this book.
