These three additions to the Zion Covenant series are "director's cuts." Readers will finally know the fates of Jacob and Lori Kalner from Warsaw Requiem and meet for the first time David Meyer from The Zion Chronicles, plus Madame Rose Smith and Jerome Jardin from The Zion Legacy and, most importantly, Rachel and Yacov Lubetkin, the heroes of The Zion Chronicles series. From the Back Cover
Soon bombs will fall like rain.
What hope is there for refugee children and the soldiers trapped against the sea?

As spring 1940 unfolds in Paris, war is inevitable. AP journalist Josephine Marlow is asked to undertake a dangerous journey back into the borders of the Reich—just when the Führer is gathering his forces for another invasion. If she is successful, a child will live. If not, he will die. And many other children, too.

French colonel Andre Chardon knows that the undefeated Führer will not hold back his Blitzkrieg long from France. But the plan of attack revealed in a coded message is so audacious that no one believes Andre. Whom can he convince? Who will have the courage to act before thousands of innocents are slaughtered? And is a miracle at Dunkirk Harbor possible?

Special Feature: Study questions suitable for individual use or group discussion.

Dunkirk Crescendo is also available complete and unabridged from Luke Thoene Productions (www.TheOneAudio.com)

Dunkirk Crescendo... Anticlimactic at best.2
If you've read my other reviews on the newest installments to the Zion Covenant series you'll know I'm an avid fan. However this book fails to impress in SO many ways. To put it best 99% of this book is made up of the latter third of The Twilight of Courage. It only includes a few very minor changes and, to be honest, most of the loose threads of the story and plot are summed up in the two-page epilogue. Terribly disappointing to say the least.

Dunkirk Crescendo3
Out of all of the Zion Covenant books, this one was my least favorite. Too many battle scenes, and not enough character development. If you like to read about battles, you'll probably like this book more than I did, but if not, you'll probably find yourself skipping paragraphs, just like I did!

Dunkirk Crescendo5

I must say I was a bit disappointed in this one. It was a great read don't get me wrong. I just would have wanted to learn more about the earlier characters. This was my first Theone series I will check them out again. Also the information on the war and pre-war things the Jews went thru was well woven into the stories.
