Product Description

Popular Women of Faith speaker and author of Lessons I Learned in the Dark, Jennifer Rothschild, has a message for every woman: Words are powerful. Especially the words women speak to themselves. All too often what they say to themselves when they lie in bed at night or look in the mirror in the morning is not even close to the words God wants them to speak to their souls.

Scripture has a lot to say about this “soul talk.” Because many women feel overwhelmed and struggle with issues of self–esteem, depression, and discouragement, Jennifer shares practically and helpfully from her own life and from Scripture to show how every woman can turn her words—and her life—around for good.

She offers 7 powerful things a woman can say to her soul, including:

  • Press On – “March on my soul, be strong” (Judges 5:21)
  • Look Up – “My soul, put your hope in God” (Psalm 42:5)
  • Chill Out – “Be at rest, O my soul” (Psalm 116:7)

Self Talk, Soul Talk is perfect for individual or small group study and includes interactive pages and Scripture passages for digging deeper.

Soul healing and wonderful!5
How can I say it any other way. I LOVED THIS BOOK. This is not my first "visit" with Jennifer. I have truly loved every book of hers that I've read. She has the ability to speak to the heart, and in this case, to the soul as well. Her scripture is right there to add the base for all her ideas and message, so the book is solid as a rock. Jennifer is alive and alight with the holy spirit, and that is so evident in her writings. I enjoy her personal stories, and I applaud her spirit and her honesty. This book arrived at my door about a week before my sweet daddy passed away suddenly. Many changes, most quite drastic, have occurred while I read these chapters, and through them all, Jennifer's soul talk was something to soothe and heal. I have needed to tell myself to be strong, to march on, to be kind, to be honest. All the soul talk in the world is just chatter without the admonition to return to the Master's outstretched arms. Luckily, Jennifer also reminds us of this time after time. She is a beautiful person. I have seen her on Life Today, and I have experienced and met her on the page. I believe anyone who enjoys Christian literature will adore Soul Talk. Thanks so much, Jennifer, for writing this for me. I feel almost as if it became a personal letter from you to my heart and soul. And I was touched by your extraordinary love for God.

SELF TALK, SOUL TALK5
Like all people, I tended to talk negatively to myself a large portion of the time. After reading Self Talk, Soul Talk, I have learned to keep my thought closet neat and clean of negative thinking! When I hear KNOCK, KNOCK! STATE YOUR BUSINESS! I only welcome in positive, reinforcing thoughts. Wisdom should always be the keeper of the door to my thought closet.

Very Encouraging5
I have a great tendency to berate myself. From this day forward I will have "talks" with myself using Scripture to enforce what God is calling me to do instead of listening to the enemy. Thanks Jennifer.
