Editorial Reviews
From the Actor
This very special video series brings Dayan Wild Goose Taoist Qigong (pronounced chi gong and sometimes spelled chi kung, qi gong or qikung) to the general public through a systematic and very approachable method. These exercise videos represent the a true and traditional teaching of wild goose qigong, not a modified or toned down or Americanized approach as is often the case. Qigong is an excellent alternative to yoga and tai-chi.
About the Actor
Dr. Bingkun Hu is a medical Qigong Master and Qigong therapist. He has been practicing Qigong and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for over 50 years and has studied with many of China's greatest contemporary Qigong masters. With his background in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Ph.D. in Western Psychology, Dr. Hu has been instrumental in bringing the essence of both the Taoist and Buddhist Qigong to the American public in a systematic and approachable way. In 2001, he was awarded "Outstanding People of the 21st Century" in honor of his "Outstanding Contribution to Medical Qigong" by the International Biographical Center in Cambridge, England. Dr. Hu's publications include 11 Qigong video tapes, 9 of which are devoted to Wild Goose Qigong, one through eight. Dr. Hu also has a private practice in Berkeley, CA.
About the Director
Jeff Baker and Three Geese Productions have produced 9 Wild Goose Qigong DVDs available for the first time in the western world. Unlike other videos that portray exotic places and locations, Dr. Hu performs where the chi is beneficial and strong (this may or may not be a beautiful location.) The end result is that you are seeing a truly authentic rendering of Wild Goose Qigong practice.
Customer Reviews
Excellent
Highly recommended. The best exposition of Wild Goose 2 I've found. Especially good are the group demos of large sections-(4)- In fact, after learning the movements I would recommend fast forwarding between each "summary" section instead of watching only Dr. Hu. This will change your day!
