Customer Reviews
Good Road Map
This map is what I expected: a standard, large size road map. The detail is sufficient for major roads and it does have quite a few more detailed city maps. If you want a really detailed street-by-street map of Johannesburg or other cities then this isn't for you but if you're driving cross country it will suite your needs. I can't comment on it's accuracy yet since I won't be traveling to South Africa for a couple months.
Pretty Good but the paper ripped easily
The map had terrific information but the quality of the paper was not terrific. It ripped and wore out only a few days into our trip. It's enough to make us think twice about this brand the next time we need a map.
For self sufficient travelers
If you're going to do a lot of driving in South Africa, this is the map for you. If most of your vacation is centered in Kruger National park and the Cape Town area, I suggest getting the Globetrotter maps specific for those areas, as there is a lot of overlap. The map is quite large, but it's accurate, and has detailed parts for the more often visited spots. Well worth the $8 investment.
