SEXY, BLOODY, DARKLY FUNNY!5
THE FOUR-BOOK SERIES

Written as a four-book series that tells one epic story, the novels weren't pick up by a publisher until a year after the fourth book had been completed. To minimize the risk of launching an ambitious first work by an unknown author, the series was published in one volume, on paperback.

THE AUTHOR

J.H.H.K., Jack H. H. King, talks about his ten year journey from playwright to screenwriter to novelist on his blog. I check in and read a few posts ever few months, like I do with every author I like. Jack says he wrote the series to prove that a powerful female hero could hold her own in a genre known for being a boy's club. Braveheart, Gladiator, 300, Troy, Alexander, Beowulf, etc...

THE WAR OF THE AMAZONS

JHHK "claims" - "Amazon warriors were actually just hot naked battle lesbians who in ancient Greece hacked off people's heads with axes! and MWGQ is just the greatest story about them ever! about the badassest warrior woman ever! leading an army of the elitest female soldiers ever! on the bloodiest quest of vengeance ever! against the undefeatedest Greek army ever! to slay the most vicious Tyrant-God-King ever! only to culminate with the single awesomest moment of pure human courage in all recorded history! ever! Yes, this sweetness rocks hardcore!"

TOLD FROM THE POINT-OF-VIEW OF A SINGLE FEMALE HERO

The paperback is 600 pages long, and the main character is Ino, an African Princess turned Slave turned Mother Of Four turned Warrior Who Bled turned Goddess Of War turned Queen Of Red. She's on every page. It's her story. It's a Female Revenge Story. Stick with her and she will take you all the way to the end. Oh, and what an ending she achieves.

HOW TO KEEP ALL THE CHARACTERS & RELATIONSHIPS STRAIGHT

On the author's blog, Jack posted a "MWGQIPEDIA" that gives extra character bios, which a lot of readers say makes reading the series easier and more enriching. It's a short read, but it's fun.

WARNING: RATED H FOR HARDCORE

This is a challenging, sometimes cryptic, very unique experience. Lots of subtext to make multiple readings rewarding. Graphically violent, explicitly sexual, unashamedly profane, complex exploration of the human condition. It might not be fully appreciated by toddlers, vegans, or pets.

+ KINDLE EDITION

It feels good to carry a 600-page epic in such a light, digital device. The text is crisp, and I like the paragraph formating too.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

***** UPDATE (Found this from the author's blog.)

Get yours now, because, to reward collectors and the hardcore elite, once popular demand sells through all 300,000 books, per the author's contract, these singular works will go out-of-print forever!

Unexpected good read3
I was turned on this book by a co-worker. I really didn't know what to expect and after the first few chapters I was unsure if the book was for me. The content is hard to swallow at first, but I'm glad that I powered through as it was a good read. I will agree with the previous reviewers that it's a very artsy epic and if you enjoyed 300, there is a good chance you'll enjoy this.

I would like to commend J.H.H.K. with his courageous writing style, it really made the novel.

A definite must read if...3
If you like witty, artsy, ancient war sagas, you'll enjoy this epic novel. But keep in mind this is definitely an adult read, highly sesasoned with graphic sexual references and violence.
