This receiver sounds amazing. It was an upgrade from a yamaha htr series, and out of the box (before even setting it up, minf you) it sounded amazingly better. Only gripe I have is that there is no 'night movie or music' button as on previous models. That is over come by the drc setting in manual setup. You just set drc to on, then save that setting as a preset on the remote.

A little pricy @ 599 each, but the sound is amazing. You dont really even need a sub with these which I was very surprised to find. These speakers bi-wired to the yamaha (which there is a setting for) are powered with ease. Then theres the speaker itself. They are made of a beautiful wood that is finished and polished 10x...you will find yourself just admiring them!

Same as the others...every detail is awesome.

We have 3 of these hooked up...awesome. Labels and 'genres' all your movies. Then you acess them like you would use the guide function on your cable remote. Only problem is these dont hook up in series...so u have to change the library code for each unit. Not hard to do though.

Not the same model...but I probably use these the most...late night gaming and stuff...love them
