Assassin's Life Not For Everyone5
What drew me to this game was the method, assassin, and the location/time period, Holy land during the crusades. This is not so much a first person shooter where you are constantly shooting and blasting. It is slow paced and reserved. I think Ubisoft's not giving in to action junkies is to be applauded. Rather, in this game the kills are well spaced and calculated. It's fun to know you are a major mofo and yet have to chill. If you do get a little antsy it can lead to more than you can handle and you get yourself killed. The scripted linear missions are pretty good and make for an interesting, colorful storyline. I enjoyed the off script activities of walking through the cities, jumping and climbing rooftops, and the occasional assasination of a random guard who found himself patroling alone. The enviornment is awesome.

For me being able to emerse myself in this time period with theese charachters is enough to buy the game in itself. Let me also say that Ubisoft has done an amazing job of recreating this world. It does take you time to get places and there are lots of people and places to see along the way. Judging by a lot of the small details they really put some time and thought into this.

Overall this is an enjoyable game. Again I applaud Ubisoft for staying true to the theme. I'm sure and assassin's life isn't for everyone. Yes, killing can get repetitive. Being a trained killer can dull the challenge level a tad but if you get yourself into a bad enough situation you can and will get hurt. Mostly you just have to chill, cruise the streets and rooftops and do your business quickly and skillfully when it does come. I like this game.

Wish list for Assassins II ? Free play level, more extensive access for utilization and exploration of enviornment. + more, more, more.

Basically a next gen Prince of Persia minus the fun3
I had high hopes of this game going into and at first glance it would seem as though it was going to be a lot of fun. However, from the moment I engaged in combat I realized that this was not going to be a fun game. They used a similar system previous implemented in Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, which was that normal attacks on enemies don't do anything, they are all blocked/deflected. You are required to use a special ability or parry type counter to defeat an enemy. This gets somewhat annoying fairly quickly and make the combat system extremely unexciting. In addition to that, there is nothing 'fun' about the kill in this game. As I said this style is very much like Prince of Persia, though in PoP, there was a very creative a visually satisfying way to defeat enemies. You would basically jump off of them and do sort of a cartwheel to then attack them from behind. You could also jump off of walls and do the same sort of thing. In Assassin's Creed however, when you do this sort of counter attack, it is basically a cut scene which creates a complete disconnect with the character. Though this is the easiest way to defeat an enemy, you almost don't even want to do it because it just isn't fun and breaks the flow of the game so quickly. Truth be told, I am not all the way through the game just yet, though I don't see the gameplay changing much throughout the story. I suggest playing Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and though it won't look like Assassin's creed, it is a much more exciting and fun game to play through.

review of Assassin's Creed4
Assassin's Creed is immensely detailed and interactive. However, the story line is twisted and the game is very easy to complete. Assassin's Creed has a reputation for being "bloody", but the game really isn't that graphic.
