Recommended for ages 8 and up, the Tri-Clops lets you show off its amazing moves to friends using a sweet gamer-style controller.

Fun, Fast Vehicle Transforms, Shoot Discs with Accuracy
The Tri-Clops quickly transforms between its two modes with the press of a button. In mutant speed mode, the vehicle is at its fastest and most protected. With the defense visor down, the Tri-Clops holds up to lots of bumps as it speeds across hard, solid surfaces. This mode also allows you to load up to eight discs in both of the two disc magazines. Armed with laser-like red beam that lines up with your target from a distance of eight feet, this Radio Control Mutant lets you shoot discs in mutant attack mode.

With the visor up, this creature reveals a vicious face with crab-like pinchers, teeth, and two slots for fast and furious disc shooting. In this mode the Tri-Clops has more impressive moves to show off. Thanks to the speed and directional control on the transmitter, the vehicle not only moves in any direction, but also features a sideways slide, a 180-degree reverse attack, and a 360-degree wild slide. The latter two features have their own buttons on the remote control, along with a trigger for each disc magazine.

The Ultimate Test Drive
We loved the speed, shooting accuracy, and killer controls and movement, the Tri-Clops Radio Control Mutant displays. If you've got plenty of solid and flat driving space -- in your house or driveway -- you'll have hours of fun playing with creature too.

Made with durable plastic, this toy holds up to a ton of collisions. The only drawback is that the 16 hard discs shoot so well that it'd be easy to lose half of them. Once out of the box, the Tri-Clops is ready to roll simply by inserting the Tyco 9.6-volt battery pack into the vehicle and the 9-volt battery into the remote. The battery pack comes with a charger that plugs into any outlet for full and easy recharging in four hours, and the vehicle features an LED that blinks in a steady pattern when the battery is running low. And a word of warning: please, don't shoot at people or animals from a close range; this toy is more powerful than you'd think.

Customer Reviews

Exceeded all expectations for son! Well Built, lots of fun!5
I bought this for my 7 yr old son for Christmas. He had it at the top of his list, I couldn't resist after the price dropped significantly on Amazon. My son was thrilled with this toy, it came with nearly all needed to run it and recharge. The toy is very well built, fires discs and spins at a VERY VERY fast speed which my kids think is awesome. This is one of the better R/C toys out there that we have had experience with. Highly recommend!

Decent purchase at a discounted price...4
I noticed these were being deeply discounted on Amazon so picked one up at a screaming price. The Triclops is a very interesting looking and uniquely controlled R/C vehicle. The transformation mode adds a lot of interest to it and with the shield up the "face" is quite menacing looking. The disk shooting feature is also very cool and the aiming LED is surprisingly accurate. The one area that this vehicle loses luster is in the control department. As is typical of other lower-priced R/C toys, there is no speed control. It's either full speed or off. Unfortunately it is so fast that it makes reasonable directional control impossible. It goes great in a straight line either forward or backward, but turning it left or right is frustrating as it constantly either over-rotates or under-rotates. The side-slipping control is neat and also unique in the R/C toy world, but it tends to spin slowly as it side-slips which also complicates controlling its movements. Driving it around indoors is quite tricky, expect to run into the walls and furniture quite a bit. It controls better on carpet than on tile too.

The control issues are really a shame as this would be an unbelievably cool toy at 3 times the price if it had better control characteristics. As it is I'm giving it 4 stars at the discounted price and would give it 3 stars at full price.

Also, don't expect to keep the disks for long! They shoot quite far and are easily lost. So far I have not been able to find replacement disks. They're not on Tyco's site, so I'm going to try and call their support number.

Quality product!!!5
We bought this for my son's 11th birthday and he loves it! It has a lot more power then I thought it would've and the disks it shoots go pretty far. My son has a lot of fun playing with this and it's fast to race with too! Very impressive item (which we got on sale), I am very happy with my purchase!
