Average customer review:Product Description
Dependent on the benevolence of her aristocratic relatives, young Fanny Price develops into the moral center of a family gone astray and restores the tranquility of her adoptive home. Written in the full flower of Austen's maturity, this work offers an entertaining study of the interplay between manners, education, and ethics--enlivened by an amusing cast of busybodies, never-do-wells, and social climbers.

Conflicted
I'm so upset with this book. The entire novel read much too slow despit the fact that all these things were occuring. The author would take up an entire chapter just to say how Fanny did ONE thing it was upsetting. Then to top it off the climax, falling point, and resolution literally all happened in the span of the last paragraph of the book as if it was a side note or something. Nonetheless, I did enjoy reading it.
