Definitely a kid pleaser!
These are adorable bears that work very well! The colors are bright and vibrant, even in a well lit room. My father-in-law asked me to pick something out from him to each of our daughters, ages 6, 4, and 6 months, for Christmas. I ordered these for him and they have been huge hits! Each time you push the paw, or the wand, you get a different light show. On the 5th push, it goes back off. My four year old is still a little scared of the dark, just like the little girl Lilly in the book that came with the bear, and this has been wonderful for her at night. For our baby, I hung the bear above her crib, well out of reach, and at night she watches the light show while going to sleep.

My only real complaint is that the wand works a little too well. We have 3 bears with 3 wands. If you use a wand on one bear, it works on all three, even if the other bears are in different rooms. This has caused a little friction at night between my 6 year old and my 4 year old. We've actually had to take the wands away at night because they argued so much over one changing the other's bear. The wands were also changing the bear in the baby's room, which was frustrating to me. I don't think anything can be done about that though and our solution is no wands at night, they have to use the paw.

We haven't had them long enough to know about the battery power yet. I'm sure it will go through a lot of batteries since it's works so well and because the wand will turn them all on at the same time. And I'm worried about how we'll clean them once they get dirty. Which they will being a very bright white. Even so, I am VERY pleased with these bears. I like them so much, I plan on giving them as birthday gifts for the children of close friends and family in the coming year!

Great night light substiute
My daughter decided she was big enough that she didn't need a night light anymore (she's almost 7), but was a little nervous about it at the same time. She had gotten this bear for Christmas, and sleeps with it, so she decided to try no night light and put the bear on her dresser where she could see it. She sleeps with the wand under her pillow, and if she wakes up in the middle of the night, and is nervous, she pulls out the wand and turns the bear on. It has worked like a charm!

Adorable!
We bought the bear for our five year old girl and the puppy for our two year old boy. They are cuddly and adorable. The story book that comes with the bear is wonderful. The wand remotely activates the light show and I was able to turn the puppy on for my son without having to go into his room. Highly recommend this item even if your kids aren't scared of the dark. It's a perfect sleeping pal.
