it's a horrible pigeon-hole, "breakthrough artist," but what else shall we call Magdalene? Her voice is lovely and graceful one moment and scathing and powerful the next. Her lyrics force you not only to re-evaluate opinions and stereotypes but also one's own identity and the place of wo/men in the world and universe. She is remarkable and wonderful!
