success at last
I am a big fan of this book. I have read it from cover to cover many times and it has helped me tremendously in my weight loss. I have lost 32 pounds. I have love the fact that it is basic common sense, no tricks or magic potions. Your information wasn't a repeat of many diet programs that tell me only what to eat and when -- this book gave me emotional support and suggestions for eating in difficults situations, as at parties and when feeling lonely. Sure I learned what to eat and when, but this book instilled in me a way to gain control of my eating and myself. I realized that I like to eat as a thin person and the weight has stayed off.
fast weight loss
This isn't a diet book - and it works. I lost 5 pounds in my first 10 days by following the eating and thinking recommendations. As I used affirmations and visualizations, plus a food diary, and carefully ate any foods provided I didn't overeat - I was amazed. I had a tough weight problem, being pre-diabetic. The authors explanations fo how food works in the body, and how to deal with the psychology of eating made sense to me. Buy this book - you won't be disappointed. I'm on my way to my ideal size - and you will be, too.
Works for me
I lost 50 pounds by using the techniques in this book. And I never felt that I was dieting or depriving myself of my favorite foods. I used the all-important concept of thinking, eating, and living as a thin person and found it easy to eat, as the authors say in the book, Eat 0-5. Now that I know how to listen to my body's hunger signals, I know that I can maintain this weight loss for the rest of my life.
The scientific and research information on how fats, carbs, and proteins work in the body helped improve my food choices. This info was presented in a friendly and upbeat way that was comfortable and inviting, without being preachy or intimidating.
I highly recommend this book. I love the results.
