Amazon.com Review
This exceptionally durable bone-shaped chew is designed to stand up to even jaws of steel. Made from the same super-sturdy, puncture-resistant, non-toxic rubber as the black Extreme Kong, it's the perfect toy for the home-alone canine. Recommended by vets and trainers for dogs with problem behaviors or separation anxiety, the Extreme Goodie Bone helps satisfy dogs' natural urges to hunt, chase, and gnaw, keeping them happy and busy for hours while their owner's away. The innovative design features holes with patented Goodie Grippers on each end. Stuff the holes with biscuits, dry foods, or Kong brand Stuff 'n pastes or treats, and watch your dog go to work extracting the contents; the grippers make the "hunt" harder, and therefore more fun. Measuring seven inches long, the black Extreme goodie bone is appropriate for aggressive chewers and large dogs, including Labs and German Shepherds. Regularly inspect your goodie bone for cracks or missing chunks, and replace worn or damaged toys to avoid a choking hazard. Satisfaction is guaranteed; if either you or your dog aren't happy with your purchase, return within 30 days for a full refund--Mary Park

Only Kong Toys Last
With a German Shepherd/Lab mix, toys usually don't make it more than 10 minutes before they are destroyed. The only toys that have consistently lasted (some for almost 6 months now) are Kong toys. This is the newest to his collection of Kong toys, and he treasures it like a real bone, and he can naw on it all he wants, and little to no damage happens.
This, along with all other Kong products (besides the frizbee) have been wonderful. They even let you put treats in them, but my dog likes them either way. They aren't quiet indestructible, but pretty darn close. Buying one every few months is a lot better than buying one every few minutes.
My Dog's Favorite Toy
My dog is not big on toys. She's extremely food-motivated, so Kong and Squirrel Dude have been her favorites--up to now. The bone shape is perfect for her to carry around and hold on with her paws while she's chewing. The goodie openings are smaller than I expected. I've found the Eukanuba Healthy Extra treats for puppies are a perfect fit. You can fit one in each opening for a challenge, or fit two in each opening so a little sticks out on each end. She will actually hold the bone in her mouth and toss it up in the air, in the hopes that a biscuit will break and fall out. The Goodie Bone keeps her occupied for a long time--hooray!
Happy Bone.
This bone supplies my dog with lots of enjoyment and work. I have a very smart working breed dog that needs lots of challenges in his daily routine. This Kong bone does just that. I add peanut butter and a bone treat into each end of the Kong bone and place it in the freezer overnight. The next morning right before I leave for work Mr. Dog gets his bone and is so busy he barely realizes I am walking out the door.
I plan to buy another one for my second dog. They both want the bone and fight over it. They prefer it to the regular Kong.
