Product Description
Travel further on your next backpacking trip thanks to the comfort and versatility of the Asolo Fugitive GTX Men's Light Hiking Boots. Though they weigh only 3lb (size 8.5), these Asolo boots provide excellent support and traction with their burly Syncro outsole, and have an ultra-secure lacing system, which reduces heel lift. The Fugitive Boots' Gore-Tex lining keeps your feet bone dry on soaking-wet days, while their low-profile design makes the hike so comfortable you'll think you're strolling through the park in your sneakers. Once you take a trip in these sporty hiking boots, your old clodhoppers are doomed to gather dust in the closet.

Customer Reviews
Pleasant surprise
I have been using a pair of Merrill mid pulse that I wanted to upgrade. I do a lot of hiking in the Chugach Mountains in Alaska and need something that grips well, but I like light weight. I tried on at least a dozen different shoes before choosing this pair. I have never owned a pair of Asolo before now.
The Fugitive fit the best in the store and seemed to hold my feet in place, even when facing straight downhill. I went out today, 5 degrees F, packed/icy trail, climbing 900 feet in elevation in less than a mile. At one point there is a 10 inch wide ice ridge to traverse. I loved the gripping aspect of my Merrills, but these boots are even better. The ridgid lateral support is excellent for a boot that doesn't have external plastic. No slipping going up or down hill. Toes dug in nicely on very hard pack. On the way down the lower part of the trail has some horse traffic and I stepped into a hoof print hole. Other than tripping, the support of these boots saved me from a bad sprain at minimum.
We will see what time brings, but so far I am extremely pleased with the support and stability of these boots. No internal foot slipping. Feet stayed warm with just one pair of midium weight wool socks.
Great Boots
I have had two pairs of these boots and they are great. Quick break-in and work well in a variety of terrain. They've been everywhere from Iceland to the swamps of Florida and I have no complaints. The only reason I had two pairs is because my dad stole one pair and he thinks they're great also.
I could hike all day
Love these boots, short break in and now I feel like I could just go all day. I look forward to pushing them harder and harder. My wife bought a pair as well and loves them. This is a short review, but Hey! they are good boots.
