From the Publisher
Charles William Daniel (1871-1955) was a maverick free-thinker whose tiny publishing house had august links with many of the most influential thinkers and movements of the 20th century. To wit, copies of Daniel's books could be found in the library at Ghandi's ashram. This spirit lived on after his death, and the company maintained its niche by publishing definitive texts on a variety of spiritual and esoteric subjects. Many of these titles, notably those on Aromatherapy and Bach Flower remedies, have become standard works on the subject. When the C.W. Daniel list went looking for a new home, the Vermilion and Rider imprints were the natural place for this wonderful collection of authors.
Customer Reviews
A powerful telepathic report of experiences after death.
It is so rare to discover a book that awakens profound truths within one's own heart. Testimony of Light is a powerful candid view of life after death as experienced by Sister Frances Mary and sent to Helen Greaves through mental telepathy. The communion between these two women (who were close friends before Francis Banks died) and who are now on different sides of the veil was achieved without effort as a natural outpouring of their mental telepathic skills.
Even though Sister Francis was a Catholic nun, her experiences after death move far beyond the pictures of any religion and embrace the universal. With deep compassion and clear descriptions of her continued expansion, Francis Banks shares story after story as she works in the half-way house to assist many newly arrived souls to make the adjustment to life without a physical body.
As I read it I felt that I was in touch with a rare soul who had vision, deep understanding of a spiritual life, and an adv! enturous spirit. Francis Bank's humility revealed her depth of knowledge as she faced new experiences on the astral plane in the attempt to learn and to aid others.
Many people come to me after the death of a loved one and I always recommend this book--regardless of their religious or non-religious beliefs. I have given away at least 20 copies to my friends in grief. Without exception all have called to say that reading this book was the single most inspiring and healing knowledge that has come to them. They point out that it has changed their whole view of life and death and awakened them to the wonderful possibilities that are right in front of all of us right now.
Do not wait for a period of grief to read this book. It will create a flowering of your soul and mind at any time, and will inspire you to love and to forgive past all measure. If you have the least anxiety about death or a fear that the material life may be all there is, Testimony of Light can lift ! you to a far greater vision and stimulate in your heart an ! energizing response that expands and enriches your life.
Purpose of Existence--Get and Give More Spirtual Light
A wonderful and spiritually uplifting book that powerfully conveys as truth--that life-after-death time is spent teaching others to receive more Light (Spiritual Light) and being taught by even Higher Light Beings to receive more Light. The book is a telepathic after-death transmission from an ex-Anglican nun who lived in South Africa to her living friend. Highlights: Heaven is not a Welfare State. The reward for a job well done is... more work. A garden of Light refreshes one, when needed. A web of light protection is needed when teaching certain people with lots of negativity. Additional protection in the form of a Higher Being of Light is needed when visiting super-negative people. The type of work that one does on earth is often continued beyond death. Reincarnation is a possibility for some. We are all part of and responsible for a group of people and their spiritual progress. After death, one is handed two blueprints: what your life could have been and what your life was. Some people go into shock for 20 years after seeing the difference in the two blueprints. Reading this book has changed my life by giving me clearer thoughts and language to express spiritual thoughts to others. This book reminded me of the C.S. Lewis book, The Great Divorce, another great description of Heaven and the Hell that people make for themselves. I wish you lots of Spiritual Light when reading and sharing this book.
People with poor reading comprehension should refrain from comment
First, let me say that this book was beyond revelation for me personally. The validation I received from this book propelled me into delving deeper into my own psychic development. I have given countless copies to others I have encountered along my spiritual path - some get it, some don't. That's alright, as Frances explains in her book, we are all of us on an individual level of learning.
So now, after reading the reviews here, I want anyone who is reading this to realize that if a review seems negative, it's probably coming from someone who is not yet ready to receive the messages contained in this book. I would not recommend this book to a novice unless they had a sincere and deep desire for spiritual enlightenment.
I would also like to correct one reviewers comment. This book was NOT written in collaboration with two nuns. Helen Greaves was not ever a nun - also, Frances Banks was a nun for only 25 years of her 72 on this earth. Helen and Frances met through an organization called "Churches Fellowship for Psychical Study" in England. They shared a mutual interest in psychic phenomenon, specifically ESP.
Another false statement made by another reviewer was that this book was a Christian "spam" campaign or other. You will not read anything about an existence of a "devil" nor of a "firey hell" as someone claimed the book speaks of. This is an untruth.
What you will find as another reviewer so eloquently held, a "human" account of a very human experience. True, the book is only circumstantial evidence of life after death. I submit to you that whether you believe in God or not, he/she/it does exist. Whether you believe it or not, there is an afterlife. I found Ms. Banks account to be in laymans terms that anyone should be able to understand if they would only open their mind and heart to the possibility that there is a greater power than ourselves.
Arrogance and ignorance will get noone closer to "the truth", read it for yourself and you decide. To the people who had to make up passages or insinuate mistruths about a book they obviously felt threatened their personal space, I say "what a shame that you wasted an opportunity for true spiritual enlightenment, and I sincerely hope that another window opens for you to see what you have previously blinded yourself to."
Love and Light to All
