About Us
As a retired High School English teacher I am comitted to fighting illiteracy in children and adults. I encourage students to read the classics that are required in high schools and to develop an appreciation for the popular authors. Developing and cultivating a knowledge of the artists and their works before they are required is key to staying on the fast track in school. It also creates a stronger base for success on the verbal portion of the SAT. Diligent reading lays the groundwork for developing a large vocabulary. Reading the works of varied authors helps to create a well rounded person with a diverse knowledge base.
