KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BALL!

The heated battle between Ayana and Jun comes to a dramatic conclusion as they are drenched in a sudden downpour. Meanwhile, Hayate’s match against Yuho ends in an unexpected upset. Crushed and humiliated, Hayate begins training in private, determined to level-up her skills. Hayate’s unusual training methods leave a great deal to be desired and she winds up spending a lot of time literally running around in circles...

After a bitter argument, the relationship between Hayate’s roommate, Momoka, and Momoka’s creepy yet powerful sister-in-arms, Isuzu, is on the rocks. Complicating the situation is the arrival of Kijimiya Otoha, a fellow student with strange powers and a major chip on her shoulder. Otoha intends to make Isuzu her new sister-in-arms—and there’s nothing Momoka can do about it!

Also contains the special bonus story “Idiots in Order!”

Good Entry for the Series4
As the fourth entry in the series, fans have already come to expect certain things from the series. Each book contains the same level of comedy, interesting character interactions, a growing cast of characters, and suspense and action from the schoolwide Hoshitori.

What sets this one apart from the previous is that this Volume 4 begins immediately where the previous one ended. For newcomers this isnt all that good for you will be required to read the previous in order to begin this one. For fans of the series, the only way to actually understand the story in the beginning of this volume as well as during its progression, reading of the previous book is necessary as well.

This one has about three separate storylines going on at the same time. The continue of the fight with Ayana and Jun, the preparation for the challenge againts Haicho and her sister in arms, and finally, Momoka and Isuzu sister in arms partnership. As the book says in the end, this feels like a really long and drawn out opening act, so the wait for the fifth book will be a bit hard to wait for.

Ultimately, this is a good entry in the series for those who have been following along for it delivers the same values, if not toned down than the others, that we have come to expect from the series.

The only real bonus here is that there is a bonus chapter at the end of the volume about Jun, whom was introduced in the previous book.

The book is read in the traditional format, has clean artwork, modern english sounding translation, and a glossary for references and honorifics.
