Product Description

Beloved Scandinavian designer Lotta Jansdotter shows how easy it is to print patterns on all sorts of surfaces. Using stencils, rubber stamps, homemade screens, and other easy techniques, the projects and processes range from simple prints easy for beginners to more involved projects for experienced artists. Stencil leaves on the walls, stamp flowers on wrapping paper, screen-print on a skirt the sky's the limit. Beautiful photographs inspire while step-by-step instructions and illustrations explain the basics. Plus, Lotta has included eight ready-to-use stencil pages with hand-drawn patterns, so crafters can easily achieve her signature style. Our innovative format, with perforated stencil sheets and a catchall envelope at back, makes this a fantastic resource for any aspiring printer.

Lotta Prints is great!5
I got this book this weekend, after eagerly anticipating it for a while now. It really is a teriffic book, with great photos and great ideas. I love that there are usable stencils in the back of the book. Lotta shows you the many ways to print images on to all kinds of objects including walls, clothes, paper, etc. A must-have for any lover of crafts.

Simply Wonderful!5
I received my copy yesterday and I couldn't stop reading, it's an exciting guide to the beautiful world of Lotta's printing techniques and inspirations, a beautifully designed book from start to finish, excellent photography printed in smooth textured paper, it's style reminds me of her other books published in Japan -Lotta's Lifestyle - and - Handmade Project -.

I also own Lotta Jansdotter's Simple Sewing: Patterns and How-To for 24 Fresh and Easy Projects witch I enjoyed very much but this new book is definitely her best book published in the USA, Lotta's writing is sincere and simple, If you are thinking in buying - Lotta Prints - I recommend you get it, you're in for a Wonderful Treat!

Disappointed1
I am diving into printing and bought various books covering the matter, Lotta Prints among others.

I was actually shocked how sparse the text was. The photos you see here at Amazon are in my opinion the "nicest" projects you are going to see in this book. I found the designs awful and ugly. The projects are not ambitious, but on a level with kindergarten projects.

Don't expect useful tips on carving materials, carving tools and how to do it. Screen printing is mentioned briefly, I think the potato print got the most attention in this book, together with buying a stamp (not carving one!) and using it!

I read the whole book in approximately one hour and a half. I couldn't find anything noteworthy.

Ambitious crafter might skip this one and save the money.
