Product Description

The book that will turn the Black community on its head!

Black men are continuously being taught to disrespect, dishonor, and disregard the Black woman. The ugly, heartbreaking results manifest themselves with the "baby mama" epidemic, video vixen mentality, enabling, denial, and other self-defeating behaviors.

Author CW is a native to Brooklyn, NY and currently resides in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. She began expanding her dating options a little over a year ago to include men of all races. CW's blog "Black Women Deserve Better" was an exercise in truth, self-discovery and healing. It is her mission to help Black women get the love, respect and commitment they deserve.

This book is dedicated to every Black woman who:

Has tirelessly searched for answers from those who will not tell her the truth

Wants better for her daughter

Is afraid to bring up the subject for fear of ridicule

Has done all the "right" things and yet wonders how everything could go so wrong

The seasoned Black woman who has witnessed the state of Black man/woman relations decline since her youth.

Customer Reviews

Agree or disagree overall a solid read4
Setting aside the vitriol in some of the reviews posted. Check out the website of the author and let that experience and impression guide the buying decision. Clearly the one reviewer did not care for the book but it appears she also does not care for the author either - one may in fact be influencing the other. One has to wonder what was so distasteful about the book to cause such a strong negative response.

It is curious as to what the reviewer did not like - given the strong negative reaction - bordering on over-reaction without any supporting evidence as to the basis for the comments made. More of a reaction than a response.

If the purpose of the book was/is to create a reaction or response in readers and start the thought process then it is a hit. Overall the book is well written. The author takes a position and builds a case to support and illustrate the point of view. The book then proceeds to back up the position and build a case with reasoned arguments and examples. Agree or disagree the reader is challenged to think and examine points made and the information presented.

A solid read.

Black Women Deserve Better - Isn't That The Beautiful Truth!4
I bought "Black Women Deserve Better" about 6 weeks ago, and read it cover to cover in 2 evenings and then again on the weekend! The author, CW, has hit the nail on the head with this book. Her analysis of the issues facing black women is spot on, as are her solutions - I saw my life in what she wrote. I had noted the phenomena that she discusses before, but whereas I thought I must be crazy and thought I was the only one who saw all this or had a problem with it, she has the courage to call it by its name, and call it out. I have to admit that I feel vindicated by this book - I know now that I am not alone in observing the dysfunctions and the anti-black women agendas and behavior that are so prevalent in the African American community today. I have already started implementing the solutions suggested by this author in my life and I'm already seeing a difference (and loving it)! Now, it's true that people who are racists (black, white or other), people who have an anti-black woman or anti-interracial relationships agenda, or people who want black women to remain the thankless mules of the African American community, will hate this book. But if you don't fall into any of the aforementioned categories, this book is well worth the read. It is potentially life-changing. I hope every black woman on planet earth will read this book and will use it as a tool to acknowledge her realities and change her life. Thank you, CW!

THANK GOD FOR THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!5
Was beginning to think I was going crazy with all of the reprobate behavior in the average Black community. I also recommend Evia and Saras interracial blogs to gain further perspective. I concur with wondering if some of the other reviewers have even READ.THE.BOOK. Some just may be on the journey to facing their own personal issues!
