Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review
When it's time for cocktails on the patio or deck, these four plastic 13-ounce Triangle glasses fit the bill. Though they look remarkably like glass, the glasses are made of virtually unbreakable polycarbonate, so there's no worry about knocking them over onto hard surfaces or hearing them crack when ice cubes are dropped into them. In keeping with the name, each glass features a triangular clear base that concentrates the color of the bowl above it for a prismatic effect. The glasses are weighted for a substantial, durable feel.

In addition to cocktail glasses, Triangle makes polycarbonate wine goblets and iced tea tumblers in a variety of colors. All Triangle ware is safe for the top rack of a dishwasher, though not for microwave use. One of the hottest trend-setters in tableware, Zak Designs makes a wide range of stylish melamine, acrylic, and ceramic dinnerware for adults as well as playful lunch kits with favorite animated characters for children. --Ann Bieri

Customer Reviews

Nice "glasses"5
These look as good as pictured. I use them quite a lot. We ordered both green and the turquoise, 13 oz and the tall ones. Two of the 16 total glasses we have are already showing stress from the dishwasher, like they aren't really dishwasher safe. We got these around September or October.

Another hassle, and this is an Amazon problem, not the product itself: I ordered the green 13oz, one set of four (I already had one set). I was sent a completely differently item. So I did an exchange, and got the same item again. I did another exchange, and I got the right item but in turquoise. I decided not to fight it, because these items were out of stock for a long time, and I didn't want to press my luck. But what I did notice was that the product I incorrectly received was marked as if it was the product I ordered - marked that way by Zak Designs. Then re-marked for what was in the box, without making it clear what was really in the box. Amazon was not double checking the stock, and Zak wasn't being careful. I mention this, because I have no idea how many boxes were mislabeled like this. All I know is I received two different boxes that were like this.

They LOOK nice, just don't USE them!1
We ordered a set of four late in 2007, and they arrived in good order. They were very handsome and functional (though they do retain some water on their bottom rim in the dishwasher) so we kept them. A few weeks later we discovered one had some small cloudy patches along the top rim. Soon ALL of them had the cloudy patches. I figured out that lip gloss and chap-stick like products attacked the (polycarbonate?) plastic material and left the surfaces cloudy. I have not tried polishing them out yet (I will), but Polycarbonate is nearly impossible to polish. Now, this is a serious oversight from the manufacturer and should never happen. Does this happen with my Polycarb' drinking bottles? NO! Is should never happen. Fact is if you wash them with hot water in strong detergent ()better known as a DISHWASHER!) it changes the properties of the surface of PC objects and can leach nasty chems into the contents. We are now stopping using them and will have to toss them out, and that REALLY pisses me off. We are BIG into sustainability and so we reuse, recycle and restore when possible. DO NOT BUY THESE GLASSES unless you plan on washing them in cold water and no lip balms will be used.

Zak Designs Turquoise Glasses1
These are nice heavy outdoor glasses but they are not dishwasher safe on the top shelf. I purchased eight and they have all cracked from the dishwasher.
