Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $6.76 I prefer this remake with Donald Sutherland over the original (or any subsequent remakes)--SCANDALOUS! I know. The special effects are still pretty cool, plus this is where the scream is introduced.

 | High Tension (Unrated Widescreen Edition)
Buy new: $12.49 / Used from: $1.98 Unflinching, brilliantly directed film. First film I saw of Alexandre Aja, and converted me into a fan. Note, the dubbing isn't very good and the movie is definitely more style over substance, but when the style is this good, you can afford to be forgiving.

Buy new: $11.99 / Used from: $0.90 First American film by Aja. You have to hand it to him--he is not afraid to keep the camera in uncomfortable , brutal detail. Again...I like the remake better than the original.

Buy new: $16.49 / Used from: $7.98 A Disney horror flick? Believe it. This movie is PG but proves that gore does not equal horror. A blindfolded little girl haunts a manor, and two sisters try to unravel the mystery. Great example of how meticulous plotting and atmosphere are ever so important to horror films.
