From the Back Cover
In Just Walk Across the Room, Bill Hybels brings personal evangelism into the twenty-first century with a natural and empowering approach modeled after Jesus himself. When Christ “walked” clear across the cosmos more than 2,000 years ago, he had no forced formulas and no memorized script; rather, he came armed only with an offer of redemption for people like us, many of whom were neck-deep in pain of their own making. This dynamic four-week experience is designed to equip and inspire your entire church to participate in that same pattern of grace-giving by taking simple walks across rooms—leaving your circles of comfort and extending hands of care, compassion, and inclusiveness to people who might need a touch of God’s love today. Expanding on the principles set forth in Hybels’ book of the same name, Just Walk Across the Room consists of three integrated components: Sermons, an implementation guide, and church promotional materials provided on CD-ROM to address the church as a whole Small group DVD and a participant’s guide to enable people to work through the material in small, connected circles of community The book Just Walk Across the Room to allow participants to think through the concepts individually

Just Walk Across the Room
I thoroughly enjoyed the teaching on the DVD. It was interesting and is where every day people are at in witnessing. The only problem I had was with the interactive section. It has a poster that you can edit to suit your needs, but it is very limited in what you can change. For example, it has a preprinted date. We didn't do the study on the date indicated. It also has a preprinted section offering to let people come to a certain area to purchase the book - but we didn't offer that.
Get it and start walking?
Loved it - As a long time Christian, there wasn't anything new or revelational (is that a word?), BUT we need to be reminded of why we are here and prodded to be about His business. Of course, the personal antidotes are also encouraging and motivating . God bless Mr Hybels.
Just do it
This was a good book, not my favorite Hybels book, and a pretty light and easy read for sure. This reads quick and simple like a Yancey or Lucado style book. You get lots of stories and devotional style thoughts, but the premise is pretty easily summed up. WALK ACROSS THE ROOM and make an effort to be intentional about your interaction with seeking and missing people.
I bought this curriculum for my church and am pretty sure we will use it as a standard for our evangelism class.
