Erik Drudwyn's work is the very model of perfection. Using live and lovely young ladies in his studio (some guys have all the luck!), Erik reaches a level of realism not often achieved in fantasy art. These illustrations have a sensual aura to them, as if you could actually reach out and touch the girls (and they could touch back!) This is Drudwyn's first full color collection of his paintings, and if you've a penchant for pert and perfect, this will be on your current "must buy!" list.

erotic art - so talented
This book is a fine work of art, a compilation of some really amazing charcoal masterpieces (a lot of these are basically all of those things in one picture) by Erik Drudwyn. There is a small introduction in the front of the 50 page full-color book written in both English and German... other than that there are no other words in the book (except on a back page there are titles of every piece and the type of medium used to create it).
This book is exclusively women, most topless or semi-nude or in seductive pose. All of the models are incredibly beautiful women and the wardrobes are equally eye-catching.
His style is unique, he individually takes each strand of hair... and I am talking... each strand of hair... and gives it highlights and midtones and makes it look so real you can almost touch it. I was impressed with his impressions of hair than anything.
He has a couple pieces of art where he created a lens-flare type effect that I really didn't care for (and neither did my friend who saw them too) but art is subjective and I am sure others will be quite fond of it.
I see this artist going a long long way. I recommend this erotic art book for any collection. His style is promptly recognizable and a majority of the faces he creates are highly realistic and believable.
Definitely a good buy. And cheap too.
Unbelievable talent and an eye for perfection
I first encountered Erik's work buying some of his earlier works from Bane gallery in San Francisco. Eric's commissioned works were among the best offered in the gallery and showed a window to his very soul. His work is very subtle and flattering to his models showing his mutual love and respect of the female form.
I have since seen works that use a variety of mediums and methods, and one of my favorites is one in which he rubbed some pink pastel on the canvas, and then with a charcoal pencil accomplished something I have never seen before... photorealism. To do this with a pencil is indicative of this artists mind-numbing talent.
Erik's eye for the little details is what sets him apart from other artists in this genre of art work. As another reviewer mentioned, Erik takes the time to perfect every aspect of a piece including each and every strand of hair. Even each individual straw of hay in one cowbow-themed work seems to have been given its own individual life.
If you are looking for work that could and should sell for hundreds or even thousands of dollars for mere pennies, then this is the book, and artist for you. I can't wait to see what he puts out next.
Awesome book & artwork.
I'm not gonna get into specific details about this book, so I'll just get to the basics. First of all his artwork is awesome. There are a few drawings which seems like he did them from memory then his usual live subject or photo. The book itself is thin. Not many pages, but like I said before, the contents are awesome. The book does not have a hard cover. It's more like a graphic novel. So if you're the type who likes to keep their books in the best condition possible, then make sure you take care of it. Overall it's solid book for art reference or the enjoyment of erotic art.
